Description
These shipping warmers are offered for those who live in freezing areas. They are not a guarantee for plants NOT to freeze, however, we have only had a problem 2 times with hundreds of shipments. We use USPS priority mail, and if your mailman leaves your package outside in a lock box or on your porch and you are not home or at your business, there will likely be a problem if temps are extreme. Please plan accordingly.
If you would like to use these for your shipments and do not want them activated let us know by emailing us at info@wholesaletillandsias.com ASAP, otherwise they will be activated.
SHIPPING IN FREEZING WEATHER. WE SHIP REGULARLY TO AREAS WITH FREEZING WEATHER. HERE ARE SOME GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW:
1. IF YOUR PLANTS WILL BE TRAVELING TO OR THROUGH AN AREA THAT HAS FREEZING WEATHER ADD AT LEAST ONE UNIHEAT SHIPPING WARMERS HEAT PACK TO YOUR ORDER (MORE FOR LARGER ORDERS).
2. BE ABSOLUTELY SURE SOMEONE WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGE IF IT WILL BE DELIVERED TO AN AREA THAT IS FREEZING COLD. IF IT SITS ON YOUR PORCH, OR IN A LOCK BOX OUTSIDE IN 20 DEGREE WEATHER THE PLANTS WILL BE DEAD IN LESS THAN 20 MIN.
3. IF YOU CAN’T BE THERE TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGE EMAIL US AT INFO@WHOLESALETILLANDSIAS.COM AND ASK US TO HAVE YOUR PACKAGE HELD AT THE POSTOFFICE FOR PICKUP.
4. We recommend using express shipping during freezing conditions, we have never had a shipment freeze when using express with a heat pack during extreme conditions. Please be home to receive the package or have it delivered to an address where someone can receive it, do not leave it outside on the porch or in a lock box in extreme weather as there is only so much a heat pack will be capable of preventing. We cannot be responsible for damage to plants in transit as we have no control over what happens when they leave our facility.
