Davis Farms Wholesale Tillandsias started with an out of control Tillandsia collection. We are fascinated by these interesting plants and are avid collectors that are passionate about Tillandsias. We grow over 300 species/hybrids. We started selling the production form our collection in 2009 when we started having more plants than we knew what to do with. I placed an AD on craigslist and a local nursery, Exotic Gardens, called right away. Carl, the owner said bring everything you have, I’ll buy it all! It was then that I realized I would need to start seed production to keep up with demand.
We continued to purchase as many plants and different species as we could but found the quality and service we received was lackluster at best. When someone did finally get to our orders, the plants received were often greenhouse grown, soft plants that did not thrive when we received them. I decided then that I will grow my plants exposed to the elements to harden them. Doing this helps dramatically with the longevity and viability of the plant when it is received by our customers.
We are based out of San Diego, California, we sell Tillandsias, at wholesale prices. We deliver for free in San Diego and Orange County, in some instances; with $250 minimum purchase.
