About the limited edition ceramic pot
Our limited edition ceramic pot is a handcrafted air plant pot that we will not be restocking once it sells out. It stands about 2.5 inches tall and 2 inches across, with an internal cavity roughly 2.25 inches deep.
Compared with our other ceramic pots, this one has a wider mouth, so it takes plants with a broader base. That makes it the pot for a medium ionantha, a small caput-medusae or a young harrisii, where the standard pots want a slim-based plant.
It comes in six colours: white, almond, blush, dusty rose, blue and a two-tone glaze. Because the pots are hand made and hand glazed, minor imperfections and small differences between pieces are normal.
Ceramic pots ship by weight. If a large order runs over the shipping calculated at checkout, we send a bill for the difference to your account.
For a shop this is a finished product in one step: drop a plant in and it is ready for the shelf at a modest wholesale cost. Once this run is gone the design is gone, so buyers who like the wider mouth should stock up.
Using the limited edition ceramic pot with air plants
A ceramic pot with no drainage hole is a display, not a growing pot, and the plant should sit in it dry. Lift the plant out to soak it, shake it, let it dry fully, and put it back. Water left in the bottom of the pot rots the base. Choose a plant whose base fills the mouth without being forced, and never push a plant in so tightly that it cannot be lifted. A dab of E-6000 Tillandsia Glue on a small pebble in the pot can hold a lightweight plant upright if it tends to lean.
- Fits: Plants with a base up to about 1.75 inches wide: medium ionantha, small caput-medusae, young harrisii.
- Mounting: Set the plant in loose. No glue needed unless it leans.
- Watering: Remove the plant to soak. Return it only when dry.
- Feeding: Feed the plant monthly with diluted TillyBoost Fertilizer during its soak.
- Placement: Bright indirect light on a shelf or desk.
- Care of the pot: Wipe dry. Hand glazed; do not soak the pot itself.
