This form of usneoides, or Spanish moss, is the thickest form of usneoides we’ve ever grown. It tends to grow straighter than our normal Thick Form, and we’re releasing a limited number of large clumps after growing it for many years.
About usneoides super thick
We already carry usneoides in a Thick Straight Form sold as graded strands for florists and a Thick Form clump sold by length for display use. This super thick form goes further still on strand diameter, giving it a noticeably heavier, more substantial look than either of those listings, while staying straighter than a typical curly usneoides strand.
That extra thickness makes it read as a premium material in a display or craft project, since it holds its shape and visual weight better than thinner strands do. Because we’ve been growing this particular form for years before releasing it, availability stays limited to what naturally matures each season. If you already carry our other usneoides forms, this super thick option gives customers a clearly different tier to choose from rather than a near-duplicate listing.
Growing usneoides super thick: Care Guide
Mist regularly rather than soaking, since usneoides has no true roots and absorbs moisture through its whole surface. Hang it with good airflow around it so it dries fully between mistings and doesn’t mat down at the center, which matters even more with a thicker strand.
