This species has glossy, smooth, non-serrated leaves. Native to Ecuador and Peru.
Will not tolerate direct sun; grow in part shade for best results.
Moderate to high level of humidity. Good aeration is required. Can be planted in media with bark, peatmoss, and perlite, but as an epiphytic plant, it is not necessary to plant if you do not desire.
Once it blooms, it will display a beautiful inflorescence of fragrant, purple tri-petal flowers!
PLEASE NOTE: PLANT MAY EXPERIENCE DEHYDRATION DURING TRANSIT. WATERING WILL PERK THE LEAVES BACK TO NORMAL. WE SUGGEST PLANTING IN MEDIA FIRST SINCE ONES GROWN IN OUR GREENHOUSE ARE PULLED FROM SOIL TO SHIP BAREROOT.
