Pseudomicans is a caulescent species. It is native to a dry inter-Andean valley in Peru, between Andahuaylas and Abancay at roughly 2,200 meters elevation. Its densely grey-scaled leaves and red flowers make it a striking collector plant. Our standard listing already offers it as a mature specimen. However, this small form provides the same species at an earlier growth stage. As a result, budget-conscious buyers, or retailers who want to grow their own stock up to size, get a lower entry price point.
This is the same real species, not a different plant sold under a similar name. Therefore, buyers get an accurate expectation of what a mature pseudomicans will eventually look like.
