Tillandsia bermejoensis is a species endemic to Bolivia. Our own stock is T.I. Clone material, acquired from Tillandsia International’s collection when that grower closed. Our records carry a caveat from that acquisition: this could be a hybrid involving bermejoensis rather than the straight species. We genuinely don’t know for certain, and we’d rather say so than assign a confident pedigree we can’t back up.
Certain or not, it’s an attractive plant, and that’s why we’ve kept carrying it under this name since we acquired it. It ships at roughly 4 inches tall, and the product photos represent the approximate size you’ll receive.
Buyers who collect named species from the Aerobia group, the lineage that includes aeranthos, will recognize the family resemblance. A fully confirmed identity on this particular clone isn’t required to appreciate it.
Because it carries genuine T.I. provenance, it appeals to the same collector who values our other Tillandsia International closeout stock, regardless of the taxonomic question mark.
