Tillandsia brachyphylla is endemic to Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, a humid coastal rainforest region that produces some of the most sought-after Tillandsia species in cultivation. It’s genuinely rare, and we only have a few plants available.
Because it comes from a humid forest habitat rather than a dry scrubland, brachyphylla tends to appreciate more moisture and airflow than a typical silver-leaved xeric species.
Its Atlantic Forest origin puts it alongside other Brazilian rarities that collectors specifically seek out, since habitat loss in that region has made wild material increasingly scarce.
Stock ships as the size pictured; because supply is this limited, we can’t offer size grading the way we do on higher-volume species.
