Description
Tillandsia roseoscapa is one of the largest and most impressive silver-leaved air plants, native to the dry forests of Chiapas, Mexico. Mature plants form a big, symmetrical rosette of thick, gracefully recurving grey-green leaves, and in time send up a tall flower spike with the rosy-pink scape that gives the species its name.
This is a fully mature, greenhouse-grown specimen. The plant in the picture is the plant you will receive – approximately 24″ wide x 24″ tall.
Care: Give it bright light with some filtered sun. Water by soaking or thoroughly drenching 1 to 2 times per week, more often in hot, dry weather. Always shake out the excess water and let the plant dry with good air movement. A light bromeliad fertilizer during the growing season keeps it looking its best.
