Description
Terrestrial bromeliad (not a Tillandsia). This soft, paper-like leaf plant grows best if planted in a mix of bark, peat moss, and perlite to allow enough aeration for the roots.
Best grown in temperatures above 60 F. (16 C.), but no warmer than 80 F (27 C). As with other bromeliads, it will enjoy water in its cups to keep it hydrated and vibrant.
Flower spikes are red with yellow flower buds. Offsets rapidly.
Native to Eastern Brazil.
