Description
This is truly a spectacular Tillandsia. Tillandsia zacapanensis was only described as a species in the 1990’s, and it is still seldom offered – especially as a mature, blooming specimen like this one.
The plant in the photos is the exact plant you will receive. We have grown this one on the farm for 8 years and it has just pushed its flower spike, so it ships IN BLOOM. Wide, silvery-white leaves curl and recurve into a full rosette well over a foot across, and the upright inflorescence adds roughly another foot of height above the plant.
Now that it has bloomed, this specimen will start producing offsets (pups) over the coming season, so you get the beginning of a clump along with the show.
One of a kind – once this plant sells it is gone.
