Description
Tillandsia rodrigueziana is native to Central America, specifically found in countries like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. It forms a large, upright rosette. Its leaves are thick, leathery, and green, but some forms develop reddish-green or dark red coloring when grown in bright light.
Inflorescence (Flower Spike): It produces an impressive flower bract on a tall, stout, erect stem. The inflorescence is often a compound or branched panicle.
The flowers are typically long purple tubular flowers that emerge from yellowish to red bracts.

Light: It thrives in bright, indirect sunlight or partially shaded outdoor conditions.
Watering: Like most air plants, it should be allowed to dry out completely between waterings. Watering can be done by misting, hosing, or dunking the plant for about 10–20 minutes, with frequency depending on temperature and humidity.
Size: The plant can reach a substantial size, up to 4′ wide and 2′ tall.
