Description

Native to the mountainous areas surrounding Huaraz, in the Ancash Department of Peru.
Appearance:
It can grow to a mature size of approximately 16-18 inches wide.
The foliage can display a range of colors, from green to silver, and even a deep purple hue, depending on the light exposure.
Leaves are dense, and grey appressed scales are present.
Growth Habits:
It can grow as a single plant or in clumps.
It is a saxicolous plant, meaning it grows on rocks.
Cultivation Notes:
Strong filtered light is recommended to bring out the plants rich coloration.
Rarity:
This is considered to be an uncommon Tillandsia species.
